:: Description

Reflection is a big part of the learning cycle. Students are able to see where they have been and how far they have come through this program. They can use the skills and knowledge gained in the last 4 months immediately to add to the final video presentation.

:: Rational

Now that the pressure is off & the performances are over, reflect back on your year so far. How did it go? Were you please with your performances? Were you adequately prepared for your performances? What would you have changed to make it better? Were there any surprises? What did you learn? What did you like?

:: Deliverables

1. •    Create a blog page/web site. Students should use Blogs created in other years at BHS
   

1. •    Write a short essay on your blog page reflecting on what you accomplished, learned        
   

                        in music class this year. Use musical vocabulary. Use the above

                        reflection as a prompt.  Include this on the same page that contain your        

                        video clips.

1. •    Add the following Video files (to be uploaded) to your blog/website
   

       Period 2  – 8 to 10 Rudiments or 3 scales plus one chromatic; Choose 3 Exercises

                        from the warm up packets.

       Period 4 & 7 - 3 scale/arpeggio/intervals plus one chromatic (period 4 = one 8ve,

                         period 7 = 2);  one short passage from a 

                         Musical Selection (8 bars to 16 bars in common time)

  

1. •    Video Files of all the musical examples listed above must be embedded on your    
   

                         page. (Hint: Upload your video to YouTube and then use the insert video

                         command on Blogger to transfer the YouTube video into (embedded)

                         your blog page.

1. •    Students must submit, using the form below, a working link to their page. One link for    EACH student. ALL FILES AND ESSAY SHOULD BE ON ONE BLOG POST!
